PTS Airs the First Gay Family Comedy in Taiwan

Pengiuns at North Pole, a short film of PTS Innovation Stories, was broadcast on PTS on March 16, 2014. The short film, directed by Kassey Huang, has been regarded as the first gay family comedy in Taiwan and has attracted a lot of attention. Even the Hollywood Reporter (THR), the well-known online journalism dedicated to entertainment industry reported on it. The THR’s international correspondent Patrick Brzeski had conducted a phone interview with Ms. Jessie Shih, the deputy director of the International Department at PTS and other people from the crew. His article also reflectes the observation of a foreign correspondent on TV programs in Taiwan.
